Private Pilot Training 

The Private Pilot License is the first major step into the world of aviation, providing students with the knowledge, confidence, and hands-on experience needed to safely operate an aircraft. Training includes aircraft control, takeoffs and landings, navigation, weather, radio communication, and real-world decision-making alongside one-on-one instruction from experienced pilots. Whether your goal is recreational flying or pursuing a professional aviation career, earning your PPL opens the door to a lifetime of opportunities, freedom, and adventure in the skies.

  • Age: Minimum of 17 years old to earn the certificate. 
  • Medical: Hold at least a third-class FAA medical certificate.
  • Prerequisites: Minimum of 40 flight hours (national average is 60-70).
  • Knowledge: Pass the FAA Written Knowledge Test.
  • Practical: Pass an oral and flight examination (Checkride).
  • Language: Be proficient in reading, speaking, and understanding English.
